Scotland Day Five--Details

Quiet day with reading, writing and strolls around town. Had an excellent soy cappuccino at my favorite cafe. I read some of Audre Lordes' Zami--A New Spelling of my Name (A Biomythography)
To whom do I owe the power behind my voice, what strength I have become, yeasting up like sudden blood from under the bruised skin's blister?

I read that book a year ago probably and remember enjoying it. It's very interesting to read about what it was like to be a lesbian way back when (the 50s? 60s?). Seems like worlds away from where we are now.

It's a super book, Christine, just very rich. I can only read a little bit at a time. I love that so much of it takes place on the same blocks here I used to live in Harlem, NYC.
